New Employee Benefit Enrollment

Summa’s eBenefits on-line enrollment system offers you a convenient, flexible and confidential way to enroll for your benefits.

GETTING STARTED

During your meeting with HR to complete your paperwork, you will receive a New Hire Benefits Packet. This packet contains important materials and information needed to begin the benefit enrollment process, including the eBenefits ‘Quick-Start Guide’.

Once you have thoroughly reviewed the materials in your New Hire Benefits Packet and have determined the benefit plan choices you wish to elect, click the eBenefits link below to begin the enrollment process.

You have 30 days from your benefit eligibility date (the first of the month following your date of hire) to enroll for optional benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance; supplemental and dependent life insurance, long-term disability buy-up; and flexible spending account plans.

Summa Health System Benefit Enrollment

When you have finished selecting your choices in eBenefits, you must “Finalize” your elections twice in order to make them valid.

A Confirmation Form will be mailed to your home within 5-7 business days after you finalize your enrollment; be sure to review the form to ensure it reflects your desired choices.

Your benefit elections will remain in effect through December 31st of the calendar/payroll year unless you experience a ‘qualifying event’ during the year such as a marriage, divorce, birth of child, loss of coverage, etc., at which time you have 30 days to provide notice to the Employee Benefits Department of your qualifying event.
